Pruning

Pruning helps the general shape, appearance, and health of landscape plants. Pruning trees and shrubs will keep them from becoming overgrown and allow light to filter through the plant. As a rule, trees are best pruned in the fall. Shrubs also should be pruned in the fall, except for broadleaf evergreens which are best pruned in the late spring after their blooming season.

Note: Some plants require more specialized care. If you are in doubt, we suggest you consult your local garden center for detailed reference materials or hire a professional maintenance service to maintain your landscape.
